Since 2001, September has been recognized as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about suicide prevention and mental health, and to highlighting the importance of mental wellness. The team at WBHM has assembled this list of mental health and suicide prevention resources available in the state of Alabama to support our community. We encourage you to share these resources with those who may need them. Need resources outside of Alabama? Find more resources at The National Institute of Mental Health or The Suicide Prevention Resource Center.
