Twice as Good: Condoleezza Rice and Her Path to Power
From the neighborhood known as Titusville in Birmingham to the West Wing of the White House, it seems Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has made it past nearly every obstacle put in front of her. But according to the author of a new book titled Twice as Good: Condoleezza Rice and her Path to Power
, her upbringing in the segregated South had a lot to do with how she looked at those obstacles — and whether they even mattered at all. In fact, Marcus Mabry says the book title explains a lot about what’s driven Rice through her academic and public service career. He spoke with WBHM’s Steve Chiotakis.
